These days I’m betting
There’s a lot I’m forgetting.
I hate to say so,
But I think I’m getting low
On brain cells and recollection
That used to be perfection
I’m beginning to feel
My brain’s turning to oatmeal
I tried to do those brain games online—
To tighten up my failing mind,
But as they all start with math
Which I hate, I just took a bath.
Ah well, it’s just age, you see—
It eventually happens to you and to me.
Now where in the world is my purse?
I think I left it in the freezer (or worse).
It’s true I’ve lost a brain cell or two,
So beware—it’s going to happen to you!
