Don’t let worry rule you,
Or bully you or fool you
Into thinking it’s gone–
Leaving you tired and wan.
Worry will try to force a solution
To a rigid and unmoving conclusion.
You think you can fudge it
By trying to nudge it
Away from your mind,
But still you will find
That the worry won’t go
Until you just say NO!
You can’t do it by wishing or hoping
Or sorrowing and moping–
You can’t guilt others into pulling you through it,
(Besides, if you think about it, you really can do it)
On your own and even with a half a heart,
You can make a good start
On pushing that worrisome worry away–
Let it all go–it will keep for another day!
